The Presbyterian Church in Canada’s national office is excited to launch PCConnection Newspaper this spring, a fun and informative newspaper that will help connect Presbyterians from coast-to-coast. This free Christian publication will keep you inspired, demonstrating our faith in action. Please subscribe by going to the national church website at presbyterian.ca
In the past, we participated in the lunch program of the Society on Homelessness. The Society has changed their focus - instead of lunches, they are now offering nutritious snacks to the same people. Since they have changed their program, any money that was in the lunch program, or any future donations will now be forwarded to the Health Snacks Program of the Society on Homelessness.
Board of Managers
Our ‘redo the blue’ campaign has been doing quite well. The Board of Mangers has decided to replace the carpet in the lobby, the photocopy room and the minister’s study with carpet squares. We are hoping that this will be completed before the Annual Meeting.
Little Tasks Around the Church - Volunteers Needed
This month, one of our members volunteered some of her time to help the church by doing one of the little jobs around the church, the pew shelves are much cleaner now. Throughout the year, there are other little jobs that need done. Some jobs only need to be done once (20 minutes), while others need to be done 5-6 times (10 minutes) throughout the year.
Some of the little jobs we are looking for right now are:
- removing some crayon marks from a few walls
- changing the pulpit falls
If you have some time and can help out, speak to Cal and he will arrange a time with you.
Throughout the year, you may wish to remember a day that is special or memorable for your family. If you wish to share this with your church family and bring in your own flowers, GREAT! Or if you would like, Rose Pals will look after it for you. In either case, please let Rose know. She can be reached by phoning her at home at 604-536-9550. We thank Rose for her ministry.
Welcome to our community of faith.
